In an awesome occurance, both protrayers of the best Frog in the known world, Kermit, were born today!
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, JIM HENSON!

(FYI: All the Muppets pictured here were voiced by Jim!)

Jim Henson would have turned 74 years old today. For a man I'd never met (but do live vicarously through
wouldbedorothy who did!) I think Jim and his creations have had the biggest impact in my life. From teaching me to be a better person, which I think Jim and co. did/do so brillantly while still making it fun, to letting me stay in touch with what makes you a kid, it's been an incredibly fulfilling part of my life journey. The world still misses you, Jim.
(Just cause I want to share... one of my favorite Jim/Kermit pictures:)
AND EQUALLY I WANT TO WISH A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO STEVE WHITMIRE WHO TURNS 51 YEARS OLD TODAY!
Steve took over protraying Kermit after Jim's untimely death in 1990 and did such a spectacular job that even those of us like myself, who are ridiculous about the Muppets, can barely ever tell the difference. That is/was so important. Kermit is as much Steve's as he was Jim's. I thank Steve for his talent allowing Kermit to live on. Have a great one, Mr. Whitmire!
(This is my fave Kermit/Steve picture:)
Feel free to share the Jim, Steve or The Muppet love today! Comment with your favorite picture, icon, or just maybe favorite memory!
