Summary: A long time ago, in a kingdom far, far away there was a boy. A very strange and enchanted boy, heir to the throne of Oakdale, Crown Prince Luke Snyder.

When he was just a baby, an evil, jealous fairy (there are good ones, too!) cast a spell. Through some magical (and slightly confused) counter spell, his life is spared. Through some bad luck though, the curse goes into effect...

But the thing is, now Luke is kind of a, well, a magical unicorn. Not all the time or anything just every once in a while. Which honestly, isn't so bad, you know. He gets to hang out in the fields. Expect that, well, there's this other boy, Noah, who Luke is kinda crazy about (in both his forms!) but he can't tell him the truth. The worst part is if he can't find a princess to break the spell (and probably marry which ugh) then he's going to be a unicorn... forever.

A story of true love, evil spells, magical woodland creatures (that probably sing), a pure-hearted hero, fairy godpeople, royal Snyders, and dragons! This is not your typical fairy tale, dudes.

Author's notes: The title of the story is a reference to the song from Aida of the same name.

Kat says: So, I have no idea how this happened, okay? Like, Jacks and I were fooling around (hee!) on Twitter one night and jokingly started plotting out this magical!unicorn Luke cause LUKE IS TOTES A MAGICAL UNICORN, OKAY? IT EXPLAINS SO MUCH, ALRIGHT? Don't even argue with us on that one. Then, we plain forgot about it except when BigBang started up, we were like "Dude, we should write that unicorn fic." "Dude, it would be EPIC." "And cracktastic, dude!" and then this happened. (I should apparently cease to have these "dude" conversation cause they end up in...this happening.) Anyway, so much love and thanks to Jacks (jackie_oh) for letting me get in on this hystericalness. All the awesomeness is her. So yeah. Also thanks to totallygay81 for the fun banner! So I wrote this story for Nuke Big Bang last year where I ended up creating this whole universe in which Chris/Reid were as OTP as Luke/Noah because this is how it was/is in my head. I really liked the pairing and the back story I had created but since that particular story wasn't about them I decided to write a bunch of little stories set in that universe for them. This is mostly for me (and wouldbedorothy and frances_veritas and anyone else that enjoyed them) but if you want to read and enjoy please, please do!

It's weird being the only writer in a fandom that has like, 10 people, but kinda cool. If this happens to inspire anyone else to write Chreid, that would be awesome.
