Here it is, Holly. Hope it's not crap. :D Title stolen from Rob Thomas' song "Gasoline." No beta so there might be a grammer/tense mistake here and there. I'll fix it later. burn like gasoline

Luke Snyder stared at the rubber hose in his hand, carefully keeping it as far from his clothes as he could. His gaze fell to the puddle of green liquid on the asphalt, nodding with satisfaction.

"That probably did it."

-- --

Molly's eyes widened as Luke walked into the garage's reception. He really couldn't blame her.

"Again, Mr. Snyder?"

Luke shrugged, grinning sheepishly, keeping his gaze just beyond her shoulder. He wasn't the best liar in the world. "I'm having, like, the worst luck with it."

"Yeah, no joke." She shook her head, grabbing the phone and speaking quickly into it. "Hey, Jeff. Mr. Snyder is here. Yeah. Again."

He pretended not to hear the tone she used and stuck his hand into his pockets, biting nervously on his lips.

He realized he'd gone beyond the ridiculous but honestly, Luke didn't care.

-- --

He only had to wait a few minutes before Noah Mayer walked through the back door into the office, shaking his head when he saw Luke.

There was the tiniest hint of a smile on his face.

"Mr. Snyder..."

Luke glared at him and he stopped firmly in his tracks.

"Sorry. Luke. What's happened?" The smile widened and Luke forced his breathing to remain steady, admonished his heart for the way it sped up.

"I have no idea. Everything was fine after last time and then this morning it just stalled out."

Noah sighed. "Seriously, Luke. I think you should just consider getting a driver or something because you and this car --"

Luke scowled. "My car hates me, I know. We've had this conversation already, Mayer."

"First it was your tires, which I still don't understand how you could get two flats at once, then the gas line, your brake lights and now...?"

Luke cleared his throat looking away. "There's some weird colored gook coming from underneath."

Noah rolled his eyes at Luke, moving past him to look at the car. He frowned at the small puddle of green pooling on the ground. "When did it start leaking?" He glanced over at Luke, eyebrow raised.

"This morning I guess."

"I just -- let's bring it inside and I'll check it out."

Luke stepped forward to follow Noah, eyes following the line of his back down...

He cleared his throat again. "Okay."

-- --

Luke worried how much longer he could keep this up. Casey thought it was insane (and he wasn't wrong) and that Luke should bite the bullet, ask Noah out.

"You have got to stop breaking your car just to get a few hours with him, man."

Which Luke thought was probably sound advice but he doesn't know how to do that. He didn't have the best experience in that department. Barely dating in high school cause well, hello, gay boy crushing on straight best friend...yeah. That hadn't worked out well. And college -- wasn't any better. There had been Reg but that had ended quickly.

Luke gave up on anything that looked like romance.

And then his car had stopped working...

-- --

"I'm thinking giving the engine dirty looks won't get it started."

Luke stopped glaring at the exposed insides of his car, turned his head to respond with a something cutting. The words got stuck in his throat. He knew those blue eyes and stupidly attractive face. He thought he should talk, say anything but it was like his brain had frozen. Words were his specialty so being able to use them to his advantage never happened.

"Um...hi. I'm Noah? We have -- I'm in your Creative Writing class?"

Luke blinked, shook his head and finally that seemed to restart his brain function. "Yeah. Sorry. Hi."

He received a huge smile for that. "Hi. You need help?"

"You happen to be a mechanic?" He asked halfheartedly but the pink tinge to Noah's cheeks made him blink. "Seriously."

Noah shrugged. "Part time, yeah." He moved in front of Luke, his shoulder brushing against Luke's chest. He sucked in a breath, swallowed deep. He concentrated on Noah's hands as he adjusted hoses and played with wires. He didn't think about the fact that he'd been staring at those same hands for weeks. He brought his attention back to Noah's face when he stepped back from the car.

"It looks like it's your battery. I've got some jumper cables." Luke blinked at the smile Noah gave him. "Don't move. I'll be right back."

Luke watched him walk away.

-- --

So Luke took the opportunity that his crappy car handed him and allowed Noah to fix it. He bought Noah a coffee to thank him and they'd spent a few hours talking about their lives, what they wanted to be (Noah told Luke about his directing aspirations, Luke admitted that he wanted to switch his Business major to English), their families (Noah had none. Luke's consisted of everyone ever) and how college wasn't what they'd expected.

At the end, Luke tried to find the courage to ask Noah out properly but he couldn't. He'd shaken his hand, thanked him again and left him sitting at the table, a look he didn't understand on Noah's face.

Weeks passed and though he'd seen Noah in class, he couldn't bring himself to talk to him, afraid of whatever he might say if Luke told him how he felt.

Then he'd gotten a flat and an idea formed in his head...

He admitted it wasn't his best plan ever but it worked and in the next few months, Luke quietly wrecked his car slowly in an attempt to stay close to Noah. (Every time he'd get to have Noah's whole attention for a few hours.)

It was completely worth the expense.

-- --

He tried not to stare but Noah bent over as he examined Luke's car left him with a mighty good view and Luke was no saint. If he had been, none of what was going on would be going on.

"Um."

His eyes flew up to meet Noah's and he cursed silently at having been caught imagining what Noah might look like naked.

"Sorry?"

One of Noah's eyebrows rose, head tilted to the side like he was trying to figure out a problem. "I said there's a hose missing."

Luke tried to school his face into confusion and surprise. "Oh?"

The other eyebrow went up and he watched Noah set his tool -- Luke seriously had no idea what it was -- down carefully before turning his full attention to him. "What's going on, Luke?" He walked slowly toward him -- the word he would have used was stalked -- and Luke froze.

"I don't know what you mean."

"Uh-huh." Noah stopped only inches from Luke, the heat from his body making him shiver. He tried to play it off but Noah's eyes narrowed slightly and then thier bodies were pressed together, Luke's back hitting the wall he hadn't realized was there. He gasped as Noah slid one leg between his, brushing against Luke's hard cock and the groan escaped before he could stop. "Oh my --"

Noah's mouth was hot and hard, bruised his lips then softened to lick into Luke's mouth. His hands were bunched into fists, Noah's shirt balled tightly in them and he pushed up, rubbing against Noah's knee with a desperation he'd never experienced.

"Noah."

The words were broken, heavy and graveled. Noah's moan forced his eyes open, their gazes clashing and his chest ached at the look in them. Noah leaned his head against Luke's, allowed him to ride his leg, breathed out. "Again."

Luke swallowed another gasp, tightened his hold. "Noah." He dragged the name out, cutting it off at the end when Noah took his mouth once more. The kiss lingered, slow play of tongues and teeth. He jumped when Noah's hand fumbled with his jeans and before he could say anything, his cock was surrounded by Noah's fingers.

"How long?" Noah asked, breathless, wrist tugging, causing heat to spike up Luke's spine.

"Since I first saw you." He shoved his hips into Noah's hand, gasping in a pained breath, needing that release.

Noah's hand paused. "The parking lot?"

Luke whined, shaking his head, trying to get Noah to move his hand. "No. Maddie's party -- you were -- oh god, please -- in the corner--" That was as far as he'd gotten because Noah's hand was gone completely. Before he could beg Noah to touch him more, there was a tug, his pants halfway off, caught just below his hips.

Noah's mouth hot and tight around him. Luke's knees gave out and Noah held him up against the wall with one hand, the other wrapped around the base of his dick. This wasn't -- there were people out front and --

He glanced down and the image of Noah, mouth sucking on his cock, eyes fluttering with pleasure shot right through him. He licked up the shaft, tracing the pulsing vein with his tongue. Noah looked up at him and the heat he found there made Luke's stomach twist with so much want, it was blinding. Noah's head bobbed up and down, hands digging into Luke's hips.

Luke scrambled to keep upright, one hand scrambling for purchase on the wall behind him, the other gripping Noah's head. He jerked his hips up, plunging into Noah's mouth over and over. His orgasm started at his toes, shooting up his thighs and down his spine. Luke groaned out Noah's name, felt the responding vibration of Noah's response and he came hard. Noah swallowed, made a satisfied noise that turned into a stuttered groan Luke felt everywhere.

Time seemed to stop in that moment and Luke closed his eyes, head thumping against the wall.

Noah let Luke fall out of his mouth and Luke wobbled in place before letting his legs unlock and sliding down to the floor.

"Oh my god."

He caught the grin on Noah's face, followed the movement of his hand as he wiped his mouth and he made a noise at the back of his throat, leaning forward to kiss his taste from Noah's lips. Noah stopped long enough to help Luke pull his pants up and then dove back in to finish.

Mouth sucking at the skin of Luke's neck, dropping kisses on his jaw and the corner of his mouth. He paused to lock his eyes with Luke, fingers tracing his lower lip and the smile he gave Luke was blinding. "So all that car trouble?"

Luke hid his face in Noah's neck, laughing quietly. "Yeah, that was all me."

Noah pushed him away gently, carding a hand in his hair. "Promise me you'll stop doing that, okay? I don't anything to happen to you."

Luke nodded mutely, catching Noah's mouth with his thumb. "Okay, I promise."

"You know I'm a little crazy about you, right?"

He felt heat in his face and nodded. "I do now." He nuzzled his cheek against Noah's, breathed in the scent of them before he remembered where they were and froze. "Oh. I think maybe we should clean up."

Noah chuckled. "I'm thinking that's a good idea." When Luke leaned back to smile at him, Noah gave him a chaste kiss. "Then you'll let me take you to dinner?"

Luke smiled wide and happy.
