Summary: After the death of his father, Luke Snyder breaks apart, losing himself and everything he loves. Admitting he needs help and recovering from his illness, he pushes away the man he loved. Through years and lovers and heartbreaks and tears, Noah is Luke's one constant, best friend and biggest supporter.

Noah Mayer decided long ago that if he could only be Luke's friend then he would take that position happily. Over years of struggles and joys and surprising twists, he finds that the life he has - and the daughter he is raising - are missing the very thing he is afraid of wanting - Luke.

Can these two men find a way past the pain and fear to find their happiness again?

So I'm giving in. I've never watched this soap, don't really know the characters, youtubed one scene so I'd known which one was Luke and which one was Noah, but you keep writing about them so I'm diving in headfirst and reading this blind.

Well, you know by now that I read the whole thing and loved every word of it. And now, I'll have you know it's all your fault that I've started watching the Luke/Noah story on YouTube and have been mainlining it all day today. Give me a couple of weeks -- less if only I didn't have to go to work ever -- and I'll be all caught up.

Well...as of this second, I'm just past the point where Jade and Casey accidentally orchestrated their reunion and they finally had sex. Freaking finally. And that kiss, where Luke is shouting at Noah and Noah just grabs him and lays one on him...

...Wow. Uh huh. That's what I'm talking about. So, um, yeah. That's where I am. And don't worry; I've been spoiled for their open ending, although like I said, I may have to stop and skip ahead past the whole Luke/Reid portion of the show.
