Gee Way...Keep on trucking, baby.

freakykatSo no secret that I adore My Chemical Romance. Of course, that's for many reasons: their lyrics are pretty raw and open. I watched them emerge from a itty bitty baby band to what they are today. \O/! The relationships between the band members. Frankie's guitaring. Gee's voice. Mikey face. Ray's hair, dude. BOB.
But what I love MOST is that these guys managed to overcome ALOT of their OWN personal demons to get to where they are. None more then Gee. So let's celebrate:
GEE WAY IS FIVE YEARS SOBER TODAY!
Literally, five years ago TODAY, Gee chose to sober up as the band flew back from Japan and Summer Sonic.
Today, Gee and the band fly back from Japan and Summer Sonic - with Gee still sober.
He could have DIED. It was THAT BAD. No joke. But he made it from that brink - and now there's a wife, and the bb, and Eisners and the BAND! \O/!
ROCK THE FUCK ON, GEE WAY!

I am so fucking proud.
