Cleaning
"What are you doing?"
Gale paused to glance at Randy over his shoulder, then returned to scrubbing the tub.
"Um...cleaning?"
Randy leaned against the doorframe, eyebrows raised in surprise. "Gale, in all the years, I've known you and all the time we've lived together, I have never known you to willingly clean...anything."
Gale shrugged. "I felt like it."
"Uh-huh. Any particular reason, you suddenly became Florence?"
"Florence never cleaned."
Randy closed his eyes in frustration. "Okay. Mr. Belvedere, then? And don't tell me you don't have an English accent cause I swear I'm gonna kick you in the ass. Literally."
There was no answer and Randy contemplated honestly giving Gale that kick he'd just promised when he heard Gale mumble something.
"What?"
"You have a message."
Randy waited, then when no further information came forth, he sighed, and asked. "From?"
Gale stood up, wiping his hands on his jean legs before looking up at Randy. "Simon."
Aha. Randy turned his lips inwardly, trying not to smile or laugh in Gale's face. It was really kinda adorable when he got this way. Not that it happened often. Gale was mostly confident in them. In himself.
But whenever the subject of Simon came up...
Randy nodded. "I see."
Gale glanced at him, nodded and started out the door. Before he'd taken more than two steps, Randy's arms wrapped around him from behind. "Stop."
Gale did.
"Listen."
Gale tilted his head. "Okay."
"Why is this bothering you so much? Why does it always bother you? You know Simon and I are friends. Hell, you're pretty friendly with him, too."
"I know." Gale dropped his head and Randy dropped kisses on the exposed nape of his neck. He was rewarded with a sigh and then a quiet mumbled, "Sometimes, I think you might realize you made the wrong choice."
Randy closed his eyes and leaned forward, his chest to Gale's back. "You know better. After all this time, I know you know better." He rubbed his cheek against the tense muscles of Gale's back. The warmth that was Gale soaking it's way into his skin. "We've been together a long time."
Gale nodded. "I know."
Randy leaned his chin on Gale's shoulder, looking up and over at him. "You know how I feel about you." It was still hard to say...even to this day. And Randy knew that might be part of the problem. But he was afraid what those words would do.
Gale smiled over at him, turning to catch Randy in his arms, and pressing their foreheads together. "I love you, too." He kissed him softly, almost reverently and when Randy had relaxed into it, Gale pulled away.
"Go. Call your ex. I'll go get some take out."
Randy brushed one hand down his cheek. One day, he'd be able to say it without fear that the moment he did, it would all disappear. Until then...his actions would have to do it for him.
He grinned up at Gale, hands sliding down to grip partner's quite delicious ass. "Hmmm. I think that can wait."
Gale's eyes darkened as Randy guided him into their bedroom. "I think I need to clean more often."
End.

Actually I think those were the only two from the last time that weren't posted by themselves. :)
