*flaiiiils* (hehehe, love that expression ;-))

OK, we have Super-Cynthia in this chapter. That's awesome in itself, with the way you write her especially. It was great to see her in charge and on the one hand act like Justin's boss for the internship, but on the other hand as Brian's friend as well.
Poor Justin, the best-laid plans of mice and men ...

Cynthia shrugged. “You know, Brian. He takes care of you.”

Justin smiled softly, voice quiet. “Yes. He does.”

Pffft, not even halfway into the chapter and I was wiping away tears.

I adored the whole part with Vic, and the back story of his own illness and battle with death. If anyone can help Brian and whom Brian will let help him, it's Vic, because he doesn't have to explain anything to him.

If something happened to Brian, he wasn’t sure how anyone would handle it. No one realized it but he was their most important piece.
OMG, perfection! Brian is like the glue person of the gang.

She wanted to say something, to reassure, but a promise was a promise.

And what she had to say, what she knew, wasn’t exactly comforting anyway.

“Look, guys. For weeks, everyone, all of us, have been on his case because of Stockwell. And even though he deserved everything we said, maybe he got sick of it and decided he needed a break from hearing what a piece of shit he is. Ever think of that?”

You go, girl!!! Aww, I freaking love Mel so much, and you give her bitchiness the same justice as her incredible big heart (and mouth :D).

So looking forward to chapter 12.
*huuuuugs*
