Yes. I know I said I'd be back with the rest of the recs I had, like two days ago, but I've been rather down so I had to wait for the energy to come back. My lovely partner-in-crime [livejournal.com profile] wouldbedorothy is working so I'm essentially bored and energized. Good combo to make me do this. So, let's go with that. :)

More Recs:

Home by [livejournal.com profile] lady_jane (Brian/Justin): One of the first admissions to [livejournal.com profile] neverenough_bj's "Worlds Apart" challenge, it's one of most realistic ways I have ever seen Brian and Justin reunited. I loved that [livejournal.com profile] lady_jane wasn't afraid to allow either character to grow. For the most part, it's from Justin's POV, and I loved that. It gives me so much prescpective into his motivations and thoughts. Totally recommend it, however I will give fair warning for those who actually have a problem with this, it does have Brian/OC.

We're Standing On the Edge of Something Amazing by [livejournal.com profile] laciudad (Brian/Justin): Also done for the "Worlds Apart" challenge, this is such a fun story. It has everything from angst to flat out fall down humor and of course lovely sweetness. I can't really talk about the plot because giving it away ruins the pleasure of the story but just go. READ!

Focus by [livejournal.com profile] wouldbedorothy (Gale/Randy, NC-17): I loved this so utterly. Mostly because I felt the roles were reversed in a lot of ways. There's always a reaching out of sorts between these characters, especially when [livejournal.com profile] wouldbedorothy writes them, and in this instance I loved how that played out. Not to mention seriously HOT SMUTTINESS!

Push by [livejournal.com profile] sameoldhope (Luke/Noah, NC-17): Though not new to this fandom, I've recently been more involved in it. This is one of the first stories for this fandom that I read and it's quite brilliant. Set in Victorian AU Oakdale (based off the ATWT Christmas special episode), it deals with Luke and Noah's secrets and how due to society, they have to say goodbye. The author's writing style is excellent and never defers from the language. The characters shine here as well.

Simplicity by [livejournal.com profile] emmileexo (Noah, implied Luke/Noah, PG-13): This is an incredible look into Noah's character and his struggles with his own sexuality and attraction to Luke. The pace is strong and it's beautiful in it's starkness. So beautiful without saying more than necessary. You follow Noah through his own discovery. You feel it with him though denial, angst, anger and in the end self-awareness and acceptance. It made me cry. Even if you don't follow this fandom, the story deserves to be read.

Stay by [livejournal.com profile] misslucyjane (Jack/Ianto): Written for a Valentine's challenge, this story could have fallen a bit toward schmoop but the author's wonderful characterization kept it out of that arena. The angst and pain from Ianto keeps the reader grounded in the reality that this relationship though good for them both is nowhere near perfect. The ending, however, is. I truly love this.

Up On the Roof by [livejournal.com profile] ladybugkay (Dick/Tim, Jack/Ianto): So when I saw the title and read the summary and saw it was a crossover, my mouth dropped open cause...DUDE! Batverse AND Torchwood! I wasn't disappointed. Not that I ever am reading any of Kay's work. The similarities in Jack and Dick's situations are/were just...there. I wouldn't have thought of them if not for this. AND how alike Tim and Ianto are...wow. :) It's so excellent. And even if you're not into one of the fandoms, it's still a great read. If you're into both, join me in the squeeing of it's fabulousness. EEEEE!

A Distinct Lack of Showers by [livejournal.com profile] cero_ate and [livejournal.com profile] prevyficgirl (Roy/Jason, R): This is so my favorite part of these author's Spaghetti Verse series. I love Jason. I mean, like I don't think I ever have in the comic. I love him for his patience here the most. I love Roy for all he's put up with and how irrational he can be. I adore Lian for being so young and so jaded. The characters are so rich and layered. Even if you don't follow any of the fandoms mentioned, it's still such a lovely read. I recommend the whole series but if nothing else, I highly recommend this part. It gave me the warm, happy tingles.

That's quite a list. I hadn't realized how many I had jotted down. :) Updates...tonite. Gods-willing. I'll have more. I'm in the mood. *shrug*

SPOILERS

And last -- all my General Hospital brethren...HOLY FUCK!!! DIEGO!!!! WHAT THE FUCK. I mean -- FUCKING DIEGO!!!! Did anyone know this?!! I hadn't read anything about that ANYWHERE. Ohmigod! Ohmigod! Ohmigod! I literally screamed out loud and [livejournal.com profile] wouldbedorothy came rushing into my room cause -- DUDE! He's supposed to BE DEAD!!!

*mouth still hanging open*

Seriously...GH. Win.
