WHOA. Awesome chapter, Kat! When Gale said 'I'd rather be dead', tears came to my eyes... you manage to convey Gale's pain and frustration, and his fear - not only of the disease, but most of all, of Randy finally leaving. His conversation with Neil was heartbreaking - saying happy was too much to hope for. God, you really portray him as so strong and so fragile all at once... so resigned... and, yet, amidst all this pain, it's like he's finally seeing a new way things could be. AMAZING.
Can't wait for more!
