Loved this! I really love the characterization of Gus in this series, and Alex doesn't drive me crazy like sometimes little kids do the way they're written in fanfic, so thank you for that.
I'm finding that I love to write Gus. It's like having your own original character but with history. And Alex...I'm quite fond of her. I tend to dislike how most kids are written in fanfic too. I was a teacher for a few year. Kids are smarter than we give them credit for lol. So your welcome!
It's so typical of Brian and Justin to let something somewhat small assume a greater significance than it should in their relationship. And I have to admit to enjoying the way Michael and Emmett take Brian's and Justin's sides, respectively, in the argument. I love that Gus is aware that the odds are it's Brian's fault; Gus's perspicacity is one of the best things about his character.
It is *very* them. I mean, yes at this point in this universe they've been together for over 15 years but their issues are still very much around. They would have to be. It happens in the best of relationships too. One person says something, the other person takes it the wrong way and BOOM! Huge disaster. Emmett and Michael crack me up!
Well, Gus loves his Dad but he's well aware Brian has the propensity to say the wrong thing lol.
>>On any other morning, DJ would walk him to the door so they could make out to their hearts’ content without “embarrassing the kids.” It could take them a good ten minutes to say goodbye. Twenty if they were frisky, which let’s face it, most mornings they were.
And then, of course, there is this little observation about Brian and Justin; their utter inability to leave each other alone is something I never tire of seeing or reading about.
I love this story and this series. Thank you!
Leaving with them for so long, he's had to deal with that his whole life. It makes Gus believe in love to see them. Which says so much really about how I've had them raise their kids in this 'verse.
I love this series too. Thank you for reading and the wonderful comments!
