This is a prologue done right. There's a delicate balance required for a good prologue, and it makes me cringe when one goes wrong, but you got this one all right. I'm loving the set up, and you know I'm a sucker for a good reunion fic. Tons of juicy backstory ... or, er, present story, whatever ... is just the icing.
