*awww* Your Taylor-Kinney family universe is so freakin adorable. Love it, love it, love it! =)
The conversation with Emmett and Ted at the diner was hilarious. “Does it involve locking them in a closet together? They could never resist being that close to each other and not end up…” Uncle Ted’s eyes flick to Alex, who looks at him with an innocent smile. “Well, you know.”
I stare at him. “That was Alex’s suggestion.” That's the TK-girl. *lol*
“Okay, okay.” She flops down across from us, throwing her pad onto the table. “Shit. It’s like looking at midget versions of your fathers.” Perfectly Debbie! And just the image of it ... *happy sigh* Thank god Brian and Justin procreated. Lindsay was right about one thing at least: all these good genes! ;-)
I sit down on the new leather sofa and Alex sits comfortably in my lap. We’re a team. The Taylor- Kinney kids… stubborn, smart, and some other adjective I can’t think of. A force to be reckoned with. That’s us. *gg* I think this is my absolute favorite paragraph. So funny and cute and describes the character you created for your TK-kids so perfectly. =)
Okay, here it goes. “Whatever it is, Dad, that you and DJ are fighting about, it’s - how do I put this delicately?”
“Stupid,” Alex provides helpfully. Just ... rofl I can picture her looking upwards, seeming totally innocent, and than saying it. *g*
Also, how everyone tried to keep up the pretence of protecting Alex from hearing bad language through the whole chapter ... Hilarious! We all know it's a lost cause ... but they get an A for effort. *lol*
“I was ready.” *melts* And there they say "I love you" are the famous three words ...
And, yay, tbc! One more chapter to revel in your wonderful universe. Thanks so much, Kat, for this lovely series. *hugs*
