Okay, I finally had time this morning to read this slowly and enjoy it.

You have captured Brian perfectly. I love how he tries to help Justin even while hiding behind his persona of nonchalance.

I can clearly picture Justin going to the one place (Brian and the loft)where he feels completely safe to cope with what would otherwise be an ordeal for him.

You have clearly conveyed Justin's dilemma. He is with Ethan and he is rationalizing that relationship but his reaction to Brian is not rational, it is pure emotion. He sees Brian as home and safety whereas Ethan will never be those things for Justin.
